I like the scar-l just as much as the m4 right now, just because of its x4 scope. I can get guaranteed longshots with the scope, so the scar's low fire rate isn't a huge drawback.

AUG is the natural replacement for SCAR L ... same characteristics only better stats all round.

I'm at a point in my skill trees where I have two options:

-Finish assault class and get 1.5x exp for killing assault/as Val. mod 3
-Continue through destroyer class and get +2 mags/-15 recoil/Fire Stab

Which option would you recommend? Of course, this is just to choose which path I'll do first, as I'll finish the other one after tons of grinding. Is the as Val worth it?

I'm assuming the aug's repair costs are significantly higher though?
I'll get the aug, but probably stick to the scar for osm.

Fault I think you should get at least the +2 mags (easier prokill) and -15 (to reach 1 recoil Surprised)recoil and after that you could get as val mod 3 or fire stab (each one cost 7 sp to get them after +2 mags and -15 recoil)

I'd go for armor after getting mags/recoil, because:

As val mod 3 is a marginal upgrade from other guns (p90/m4)
Fire stab isn't that great unless you have SP to spare.

Armor on the other hand is almost a direct upgrade, and'll give you more survivability for long streaks.

Thanks for the advice. I think my path now will be +2 mags>-15 recoil>40 armor, and then after all that I might grind for Fire Stab.

Remember Fire Stab is testable on my alt. Some people like it, some people don't. I myself do not, and that is why I haven't got it on my main. If you want to try it out, PM myself, boss, azh, noboty or reaper660 for the password.

Just bought the Vector for some spraying fun. Did anyone else notice the W-task is now 1 prokill instead of 20? Repair costs also seem to be significantly down. Might make the gun a viable weapon.

Yeh, it is a fun weapon. However, the limiting factor for me is the minimum damage and maximum accuracy. I've thought about making an alt that is a scout spec so that I can take advantage of +15 accuracy. The build would be fairly limiting since you wouldn't receive the penetration from assault spec.
