DB 5v5 ranked games

I want to set up a squad for 5v5 games. Currently we are playing pretty shitty as a team in the 5v5 matches. We have some individual skill, but we don't care about positions, tactics and teamwork. That is why we lose against teams with way less skilled players.
I would like to have a 5v5 with people who know what to do. I want them to play certain positions in different maps and objectives. I want them to keep an eye on spawntimes and enemies alive. And I want a good communication on discord. I want teamwork.

We will start the practice session between 8 and 9pm GMT+2. I will be the teamleader during these matches. That means you should listen to me. We can discuss the games when they are finished and I will post at the forum what I think we have to improve. And I hope you guys will put in your 2cents to this discussion to. I think that will be the best way to improve our gameplay as a team. I thought about writting essays about position and tactics, but I think the best thing is we develop them during game and find the solution that works best for us.

I know that we have more DB players then there are spots in a 5v5 team. That means not every Creedling will get a spot in the team, but we should start with a core team and once we improve we can start to bring in new Creedlings one by one. I hope that way we can find a way to get one or maybe two good teams without making any Creedling left out.

Creedlings I want to have in the team for the start are:

Raxcer, Vintage, Sus, Tricky.

I think for now this is a suitable idea.
The problem we are facing is that our lvl range goes from 3-56 but I think there are way to handle that.
I like the idea of having a core team for now, most of our other players arent actively playing comps anyway. However, it is true that we often play like a disorganised bunch of noobs and the reason is the we dont get used to each other.
I´ve been playing many games and comps with Ricky lately and I´d say that our teamwork has improved. But, if we play with different teammates all the time (and additionally they might be more or less new to DB) its very difficult to develop a nice teamwork.
So yea, we should start to play with this team now, of course I will not be able to play every day during this explicit time but we should try to play comps with at least 3-4 guys of this core team.
Tbh, after reading ricky´s and my post I think it may sound a bit harsh but if I take a look at our last games...we are not really improving lately.
Ricky,Sus and me are the most experienced DB (especially comp-wise) players and it´s kind of our responsibility to improve our teamwork and the integration of new players.

Ok since we started this game pretty casual.
We might want to start with defining what we mean with 5v5 comp

First things we have to ask ourselfs.
- Who wants to get involved in getting Creed up there in the 5v5 comp.
- Do you want to/can you spend the effort and time.
- What should be the goal (win some games?, become a top 100 clan?, Top 10?, ESL? )

If we wanna go that road we need to set a goal other than "improving", or else it wil stay casual with the will to win.

All I want is the bug of DB to get fixed, it always disconnects my whole laptop from internet.
I want to play DB 24/7 but this shit wont let me.

final call I made a few days ago went roughly like this translated:

Kine: "In a nutshell, explain to me what is going wrong on your end causing me to go without internet since installation."

Head of Customer Service: "Ok it's like this Sir, the only department that can resolve this situation is a department within engineering that don't pick up anybody's phone calls. The only communication we're receiving from them is to tell the customer 'he'll get his internet within a week'. That's the best I can tell you."

A guy from said department eventually came over my house just now. Did his thing and I'm back online faster than ever.

Interestingly; watching him work his laptop, it looked alot like he was hacking into something lol.

No fancy apps or nothing just a console and the fibre optic line. From what I saw, if you know what you're doing you could practically tell the internet how fast you want yours to be lmao. As it turns out, the automated system on their end that sets internet speed, bandwidth etc according to your subscription packages decided it didn't like me. So they had to physically come over, tap my line and did EVERYTHING manually. Including setting what up / down speed etc. Kine be like GIMME ALL !

But I thought against clowning with him. The 1 hour he was in my house he said exactly 3 things.

On a 2nd thought: Screw this. I'll might try it again if we have 5 people with atleast minimum 100 ranked games. By the time you have 100 games you've been raped enough times by another team that you know how to avoid it. That saves me alot of time explaining stuff during game which no one will listen to. Better for me and better for Creed if we avoid these games.

We shouldn´t overreact after this loss against the Puff guys. They are definitely one of the pro clans in DB and it´s just normal that tactics barely work against those enemies. We should rather see this as a snapshot of our teamwork and skill, they are just better than we are....and I think thats not a shame.
I know that what you disliked about the game was our teamwork but we just did our first comp as this 5-man group, it will take time for us to improve. We can accelerate this process by playing together in pubs,private games or 2 man comps but it WILL take time. Just the fact that we played with 5 more or less skilled players doesnt make us a better team.
I personally saw some good rudiments of teamwork and we can continue to use our strenghts more efficiently. It makes no sense to go mad because we lost some games against pretty skillful enemies. Im sure Creed will find it´s place in the DB comp world, the most important thing is that we keep trying and not resign after a game like this.
Kine just started to play DB again and he had 230 ping,Vintage is just lvl 15 and will improve even more. The question is not if Creed will become stronger, the question is when...

Points:

1. Do not do full matches

2. Do not do ranked weekdays, queue is shit.

3. Don't need a full roster to improve

4. Effort, performance, results do not scale proportionately. To go from 0 to 100 result doesn't necessarily require you to put in 100 effort. Especially early on. Small input gives more than proportionate output when starting out.

5. Stay positive in and out of matches. It's cliche but shit like that really do separate good from better teams.

6. Gitting Gud is easy !

- I'm old and I've seen much along the way. One thing I can say for sure:
- If you want something and went out to get it, you'll get it.
- 90% of the time when a team do not achieve what they planned to, it's because deep down, people didn't want it bad enough.
