TACTICS: mission specific

For all missions: know your squad, their warframes, their abilities, and how they play. Know your enemy. Each has a different weakness and style of fighting.
I'll try to keep adding to this guide. I would appreciate any feedback and will make changes to the original post as needed. Also, anyone can write up a synopsis of the unfinished mission guides and I will add it and credit it. -OR- I may be lazy and this is all you will ever see.
- Mission: Capture:
- Mission: Capture
Goal - Find, take down, and capture 2 enemies before reaching extraction.
Success - 1 target can escape but you must capture at least 1 target before going to extraction. You must reach extraction and wait for a small timer countdown.
Tips -
1.) Have a take down plan before you start. Examples include: Kubrow with take down ability, Excalibur with Stun ability (radial blind), Volt warframe's Pull ability. Once you reach a target, it's best to have a way to contain him for the capture.
2.) Don't outrun your team. Stay grouped. The targets do not run until they are first spotted. If you are alone when you reach them, (commonly) no one else will be able to catch up and you are soloing his capture. That may seem easy in some planets but impossible in higher planets and Void.
3.) Don't get bogged down trying to eliminate all enemies. They are endless in a Capture mission. I would recommend having a strong squad member remain a pace behind to cover the team's back and to also eliminate any traps (lasers/arc traps) for the escape to extraction. It's painful to capture the target then lose to a trap when running to extraction with low hp.
4.) If you fall on the way to extraction, ask the squad if they need help before you use a revive. If they are going to make it easily, you will just hold them up. All you lose if you die out is the Bonus Credits. You keep everything else gathered until then plus any Special items for the missions.
- Mission: Exterminate:
- Mission: Exterminate
Goal - Exterminate a finite number of enemies and reach extraction safely.
Success - Same as the goal. No deviations allowed for.
Tips -
1.) This is one of the missions that is easiest to 'Solo'.
2.) Clear each section as you go. Leave no enemies behind you.
3.) Take the time to open lockers, gather resources, etc. You have no time limit and this does not have to be a 'run-n-gun' style mission.
4.) Pay attention to your Affinity mini-mission. Most are quite easy to accomplish on this style mission.
5.) Control the position of your enemies. 95% of the time, they will be coming from ahead of you. You can pick their path by your own character's placement. I have run several of these without taking any damage at all.
6.) I have no tips for running this mission with a squad because it inevitably becomes a race to kill as many as possible and run to the end without halting.
- Mission: Defense:
- Mission: Defense
Goal - Defend a specific location for a predetermined number of waves. Wash, rinse, and repeat based on your squads ability.
Success - You only need to hold the position for 5 waves before you are offered the first option (bribe) to extract.
Tips -
1.) Gather resources and energy -before- heading to the equipment you are to defend. Be prepared.
2.) Do not get close to the equipment being defended until the whole squad is ready/near.
3.) Track the main spawn points. Most defense missions have specific places that spawn enemies and can easily be managed with a good squad.
4.) Don't spread your squad too thin. You want to be near the equipment. If it gets destroyed, you lose. You want to be within running distance of your mates, if they fall someone has to revive them.
5.) Share the wealth. If a good module or resource pops up, look at the spot and press 'G' to mark it.
6.) When the bribe to quit appears, do not think about the bribe. Instead, consider if your squad can actually last another set of waves.
- Mission: Mobile Defense:
- Mission: Mobile Defense
Goal - Protect multiple, specified locations consecutively.
Success - You must protect each location successfully and make it to extraction.
Tips - See Defense Missions. General notion is the same.

People need to start spamming the melee whirlwind shit. I play as rhino and leave you guys in the dust.

Dual Zoren and Kamas are best. They even have a nickname for it, the Zoren Copter.
