Contract Wars: Standalone
CW:SA is now in partnership with steam. A release date has not been announced as of yet, but this has been confirmed. My personal opinion is that it will be released in around a year. As it has taken this long for other huge CW updates once talk from developers (and screenshots/gameplay) has appeared. CW:B and CW:SA have been confirmed to continue development side by side after CW:SA's release.
Other useful things that have been confirmed for CW:SA.
- skill tree rework (including balancing)
- single player and multiplayer. Single player will be based off of CW's current backstory.
- enhanced graphic and character models.
- NPC's with AI (eventually).
- increased weapon library.
- currently 14 developers separate from CW:B developers are working on the project. They report to Nikita (owner/lead developer).
- most likely pay to play (thank god).
I will update this thread as information arises.

To be completely honest, not excited for this. I've put in so much time and a bit of money into the browser based version, don't want to see that go to waste when the devs inevitably slack off on the browser game and some of the player base migrates.
Besides, it will be more graphics intensive and my shitty laptop probably can't handle it haha.

Pre-Alpha game play. Sprint has been added, though rough at this point. This map is Bay5. It looks larger, but the footprint is actually the same. Objects have increased in height, and that's why it looks different.

-updated blood splatter from the direction you are hit. (I think it's a bit cartoony)
-updated impact sounds on metal and other objects. (new audio samples from gun range)
-will have all weapons customized.
I think this game looks great. I definitely will be buying it on steam when it is released.

There will be no transfer of any kind, unfortunately. It will be an even playing field to start off. However, there is going to be a benefit to have a CW:B account with CW prior to CW:S's release. But they haven't clarified. I'm guessing a discount or something like that.
