Honestly, this game looks way to slow and campy for me. I love games like DB and begone because you can sometimes just rush through a bunch of enemies, those moments get me going xD

Won 9 PVP matches straight with these guys. Could've been more but they decided to take a break. This was the last round of the last match played. In most my matches I'd always be silently criticizing my own team in my head, what they're doing wrong, what could be done better etc. But this crew - everything was flawless. Could be better timed here and there but never a fail moment.

Tend to avoid using the Shield Guy with randoms coz they random but in the right hands with the right guys behind you, games get real easy when done right. Frontline without firing a single shot and won the round in record time. SWAT style.

@ Racxer - honestly, most shooter games just gets too easy after you figure out the mechanics and how to exploit maps and players. I get as much excitement pwning nubs in pub matches as I do farming bots in Warframe.

Rainbow 6 is different.

It gets my adrenaline pumping overtime. Remember those days in Contract Wars ... 17 kill streak, 3 more to go for a Prokill ? That sort of tense moments happen more often in R6S. And in the weirdest situations. I'd make 0 kills fixing walls and shit then suddenly be put in a 1v3 situation before winning it for the team. Stuff like that.

As for tempo - the game mode has you taking turns defending and attacking. As defenders you obviously camp. And in a game where 1 bullet *might* kill you but 2 bullets definitely will ... you tend to move alot more cautiously.

unless you have a shield that can flash people blind ... then you can do this:

Wiped out the entire enemy team. Pistol only shield guy.

I get these high level games about once a day. Good teams on both sides who play the game as it was meant to be. This hostage rescue match felt like one of those FBI movie scenes. Less Kine more Team.

Under Terrorist Hunt Preferences, switch off all Hostage and Bomb game modes. Leave only Terrorist Hunt Classic = On

To practice single player kill everything go Play > Terrorist Hunt > Lone Wolf

Muscle memory wise there isnt much to rewire. Q E to lean left right. Remap go prone and crouch to where you're most comfortable with. Toggle crouch and aim in option helps.

Main thing to get used to is dealing with breakable doors, windows and walls. Majority of your kills and deaths are behind cover. Just like BeGone except this time around its legit.

Memorizing the map isn't a huge deal even against veterans.

Pretend it's real life where one bullet will really kill you. Move around with that in mind and you'll move and shoot like vets do. Check corners and stay in pairs even when on defense.

Your expensive surround sound headphones ? This is the game it was made for. Shoot ceilings to kill people on the floor above you. Watch demcryhax.

Once a day I get on a team that not only wants to team-work but also knows how to. Had fun and a decent video showing off the team side of Rainbow 6 pub matches.

doing the situations now. what's the must have attacker and defender iyo

Defense:

1. Castle - 3 x Metal doors or windows. Only breach charges can take these down. Not all attackers have breach charges. If the ones that do dies, the rest who don't will be in trouble.

2. Mute - ECM jammers not only kill drones but more importantly stops breach charges from operating. Smart placement further limits where attackers can come in from. For eg. Mute's ECM + Castle's metal windows means no one will be coming thru there. (unless they have Sledge)

Attack:

1. Thermite - 2 x special breaching charges that can destroy reinforced walls. It's a big deal.

2. Blitz, Montagne - Shield guys. Montagne has stronger shield but Blitz has flashlights that can blind enemies. Gameplay is really different from regular operators and not just because of pistol only. Can be very rewarding or really bad depending on team-mates.

All other operators have their uses but the ones listed above are ALMOST mandatory each round.

Except:

IQ, Twitch and that Russian machine gun dude. They are more relevant in PVE than PVP.

First Operators should be Castle, Thermite, Shield dude, Mute then unlock the rest.

Don't be shy to using Shotguns. They have their uses especially as support tools.
